Chathuram Movie OTT Release Date: A rich middle-aged man beats up the young woman he married, but when he gets hurt in an accident, the tables turn.
Rich middle-aged Eldho (Alencier) marries Selena (Swasika), who is half his age, and takes her to his bungalow in a hill station. Once she gets there, she sees him for who he really is: a big, angry, narcissistic old man who beats her up for no reason, rapes her, and treats her very badly. Eldho is out for a walk when he has an accident that leaves him paralysed. Balthazar (Roshan Mathew), a home nurse, is sent to take care of him. The story of Chathuram is about how Selena changes the situation to help herself.
The movie by director Sidharth Bharathan is about love, lust, and revenge. It shows that when a woman wants to do something, she can't be stopped. And here, Selena is a smart woman, as shown by the fact that she can beat Eldho at chess, even though he is a champion at the game. Sidharth is able to show how his attraction to home nurse Balthazar turns into love without going overboard.
Characters are the focus of this movie, so the actors need to bring their best. What's the deal? Swasika seems a little uncomfortable putting on the role of a seductress, but her change from "victim" to "mistress" works well and seems real. Roshan and Alencier do a good job of showing how their characters' feelings change over time.
This is a movie for adults, and the main character is a strong woman. It's also interesting because it's about a topic that rarely comes up in Malayalam movies.
